  • This cat was a wild cat. She was taken in and spayed, and is well fed and looked after.

She is a hunter though, and anything that moves is fair game, be it birds, butterflies or mice.

Just last night I saw her playing football with a snail. I hope people don't start complaining about the decimation of snail populations due to feline sporting activities :)

  • What song is that?

  • O Fortuna, from Carl Orff's Carmina Burana

  • I understand why people are upset about cats putting stress on the bird population, though here's a factoid: Cats have been hunting long before we as humans began keeping them as pets.

You can't take instincts out of a cat. It's inhumane and takes away from what a cat is.

Instead we should be working to deal with our own faults which are decimating the bird population and maybe then the cat's natural instincts will not be such a problem after all.

Nice vid btw, very enjoyable. :)

  • good video! I believe in Karma that bird probably had it coming! god damn ! air rat!

  • Spay and Neuter your cats - it's the responsible thing to do. As for starving people, I don't see how that's related but why can't we spay and neuter them too?

  • I suggest people act responsibly and spay & neuter their cats so they don't multiply out of control, become a burden to people who live nearby, and kill off already stressed populations of birds. Maybe duck hunter would be more understanding if he found no ducks at his favorite hunting spot because every duck had been killed by cats. Birds occupy and important ecological niche and people will miss them when we have 100 X more mosquitos, 100 X more West Nile cases and Malaria in the US.

  • Nice facts there. So what the fuck do you suggest we do? Even better, rather that worrying about stupid fucking birds, why not worry about the other PEOPLE in the world who are starving and unable to buy food, much less a computer, unlike your ignorant, "learned" hippy ass. Instead of statistic ejaculation, why not go catch all the feral and stray cats, kill them, and sent the meat over to Africa? The world isn't fair, get used to it. PS, I love duck hunting. Have a nice day.

  • There are more than 90 million pet cats in the U.S., the majority of which roam outside at least part of the time. In addition, millions of stray and feral cats roam our cities, suburbs, and rural areas. Scientists estimate that free-roaming cats kill hundreds of millions of birds each year. Cat predation is an added stress to bird populations already struggling to survive habitat loss, pollution, pesticides, and other human impacts.

  • I agree, declawing is for owners who are too lazy to trim their cat's nails themselves

  • umm, there are approximately 300 million people in the US. Last time I checked 100 million was less than 300 million
