  • I know what you mean but at this time this was the best i could as far as positioning the projector goes and i might have positioned it all different to get the shots for the video (can´t really remember).

The project has been "down" for a while due to a lack of a decent display ... the projector was a loan and ...yes...there is a crisis in the wallet at the moment ;).

But i´m working on starting it up again with 3 x 21" LCD widescreens put together in a curve ;) ...

  • damn thats an awesome cockpit there dawgside, makin me jealous man, i'm waitin on a check to get here and i'm ordering a scm setup. gonna make my own frame out of abs plumbing pipe, you think that will hold? i can't wait this video was AWESOME, the beginning especially, really see how fast this thing moves, can't wait!!!!

  • Thanx m8 and congrats on getting your own setup...

Considering the ABS plumbing you refer to i don´t know what to say really...the material itself is no problem i guess...but what really matters when building your "bottom frame" (the part of the frame you fasten the ScM w/seat to) is how ridgid and stiff it is... a little flexible is ok (depending on what youre driving;) but one of the "milestones" in tweaking my setup was definately when the "motion-part" was firmly attached to the rest...

  • ... iwould say probably some 20-30% percent enhancement... faster and more precise movements, especially when going from side to side fast.

with the ScM setup standing alone on the ground this will cause it to rock from side to side, lifting the "back-corners" accordingly and delaying feedback...

or not delaying feedback ACTUALLY... but delaying the response of the feedback...

like a car suspension...hard suspension and the car responds faster than with a soft suspension...ok you get the pic

  • but i actually had it planned to be adjustable on my own setup... totally tightened and fastened for when driving F1 and such... and more loose for driving rally on gravel for example...haven´t done it...

but i might still do it...somehow!

  • Everything looks awesome but I think you suffer from the "my screen is way too far away bug".

I guess you have to since its so big but its still awkward. Maybe something smaller and a lot closer would be better.

I think racing too far away like that would completely throw me off.

  • Do it! :P

And bring a RBR movie on!

  • hey dawgside, have you tried i-racing yet? man that is the greatest sim out, idk if i will even buy another sim again. i do have a problem now though, idk if i should get the simconmotion till/if they update their drivers to support i-racing. i'm gonna give it a little bit to see, i don't want to buy it and it never gets supported. either way, i highly recommend that you try it out, its pay to play if you didn't know but its definitely worth it!! :D
