Gun registration in Mohave County? THIS is also part of Ron Walker's new County 'Policies'? Does he have absolutely no regard for the Constitution of the United States, or state and federal laws?
to check the whole story and why Mohave County is doing this go to http://mohavecountyconstitution.com/nofreedomspeech.htm
When asking where serial numbers and information is kept, nobody had an answer, just more of the same that the 'policy is evolving', 'we are still working on it' and lots of ' I don't knows'.

  • If you're going to get huffy with security and act like an asshole LEAVE YOUR GUN IN THE CAR if you know it has to be checked in a government building. Acting like a douchebag makes all gun owners look bad and this sort of behaviour is going to make us lose the right to carry without a license if too many idiots act up in public.

  • Tell me you are kidding. Registering a gun has absolutely NOTHING to do with a gun going to the right person. That is Gun Registration. Period.

Every place the checks guns DOES NOT TAKE THE SERIAL NUMBER. Before you open you mouth and and start lecturing people, get your facts straight.

  • You are required to surrender unconditionally.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

  • They have absolutely NO reason to keep the names, address, gun type and registration numbers AFTER they have returned the gun. To have all that ID information floating around, probably unsecured, is really scary.

Think about it--so many ways that list could be used. A thief bribes a co. employee...local Big Brother...special harassment by whatever agencies...the list can go on.

This is a FURTHER violation of the Constitution. And they are far too stupid (or unlawful) to acknowledge it.

  • Why don't they simply shred ALL copies of that form when they return the gun? Shred them in front of the person when the gun is returned. Furthermore, even if they DO shred them, someone needs to monitor all during the meeting to make sure they don't make photocopies to keep a record.

They should do it sort of like the old "hat check" system. You presented your receipt or ticket, got your hat back and there was no need to keep records. Your name was never on the ticket, only a number.
