  • Wow! My Uncle Alvis Cowens wrote and performs this! Let me thank you for posting the song that my uncle Alvis Cowens wrote and performed. As children growing up in Dallas Texas we often heard of our famous uncle who was in the movie Stormy Weather.

    Alvis was from a family of ten talented brothers and sisters. His only surviving sister, lives in San Francisco and is ninety-three years old. Again, thank you so much for helping to keep his memory alive for us!
