  • I don't have one but you could try

    geaugalaketoday . com

I am sure you can find it there or from one of the members

  • great video..i wish the park was still there so i could go...why did it close???

  • Thanks. Cedar Fair stated it was due to attendance but attendance was up in its last year. Others says it was due to copitition with Cedar Point so we may never know the truth.

  • @roboaustin98 Then perhaps you understand. I rode John Millers coaster at GL in 1975 and it hooked me. After 112 coasters, none have had more air time than the Big Dipper! That coaster would MAKE you like it with laughter!

  • @astrofrk my first as well bro

  • Visited GL every year from 1985 till 2007. Would be wondeful if somehow, someway, this once great AMUSEMENT PARK, could be resurrected.

  • thanks six flages for ruining seaworld and gutting geauga lake out of its landmark rides and duplcating ceaderpoint...ceader fair baught a dead hourse and helped it along for 3 years they should have never wasted thir time whith this park after six flages was done ruining it

  • The Big Dipper was my first of about 100 coasters, 1975. I will always want to go back to this place as there are many memories here, the last being part of my honeymoon in 2004. This is what Cedar Fairs will do to your park!

  • @KenJones1990 Well Cedar Point was owned by CF, as was GL. So basically people weren't traveling to this park from other places and buying tickets, like 2000 or 2001. People were using season passes from KI or CP and took an hour or so drive to GL. Thus making no money. Operating costs made CF lose money, so they cut operations.

  • The ending made me nearly cry! thanks for sharing

  • Thanks for the response suzyjacuzzi6791 I went pretty much every summer throughout the 90's as well I have a sister 10 years younger then me who was born in 1989 so pretty much every summer from 1979 through the year it closed i went with my family now there is nothing in this area of ohio

  • @TheDaveyknox i was the same way, except i went every year in the 90's.

  • Thanks alot Ceader Fair You said attendance was down, that was not true yes Ceader Point is bigger but not everybody from this area wants to travel that far. Geauga Lake was the only park in this part of Ohio.
