Yeah but pabst is still cheap. They might switch out Pabst for Beast (Milwaukee's best) or Naughty (Natural Ice) to cut out the hipster element... but they won't make Pabst the new Heineken.

Just check out the ratings on ratebeer. PBR has overall 2/100 and 18/100 in style.. Can't argue with over 2000 ratings.

OK- I just have to disagree. I hate cheap metallic aftertastes and thats what I like about PBR- I don't get it from them. And its a light lager so yeah the hops taste isn't supposed to be very strong. Don't take my word for it though- PBR is the only mass produced beer (and BY FAR the cheapest) to win a gold in the 2012 great american beer festival (the American style light lager category).
