Bugera vs. Engl Shoot-Out! TTK Style! Using my Ed Roman Quicksilver guitar!

Folks, enjoy this shoot-out between the affordable bone crushing Bugera 6260 and the high end ENGL Fireball. Both are great amps, with subtle / little differences in tone. The 6260 has a bit more sizzle, and the ENGL has a bit more dark growl to it, BUT you be the judge and decide for yourself! COMMENT BELOW!!!

im not keen on the eq sound, bit to deep and muddy for me but tbh i preferd the sound of the bugera, great demo :)

@themaggot8 Actually, not because of the price. Right before the 5150 amps arrived, EVH used SLO-100's on stage, after using Variac'd Plexis running at 89w due to having to replace all tubes after each show.

The bugera sounds more organic and much beefer and its gain is tremondous, Engl is good but I love the 6260, plus its in my opion more harmonically rich, and you helped me get my first bugera, which is the 1990 oh and i don't understand why the ENGl starts to warble in its distortion

That's not a fair shootout. The 6260 is a Peavey 5150/6505 clone which is the poor man's version of the Soldando SLO-100. Even with both amps sounding more os less the same.

ppl can say tkat bugera isnt built as well, i have one and i have a engl, oh, and a mesa and marshall. i can tell you tthe bugera is better not only for the buck but the sound really rocks. i dont justify buying exspensive stuff by saying other amps are cheap, i go with owning one first. great shoot out. the bugera does sound better on here and on stage.

Engl does have a nicer tone imo, but not $1200 nicer. Stupid question but is there also a low cost equivalent of a Diezel VH4?

@JACKSONLEWISOFCANADA There's more to the price difference than the tone. Components and build quality are big factors as well.

The Engl has a little more note definition in the highs, but not much. That Bugera is chunky, I like the way it sounds. It doesn't sound like you get anything more out of the Engl for $1200 more. Good shootout TTK!
