Charley Hutton of Charley Hutton's Color Studio in Nampa, ID describes the importance of using clean, dry compressed air -- especially when working with waterborne paints. Charley goes on to explain why waterborne paints are more sensitive to moisture than solvents, and how his Kaeser compressor delivers the results he needs. We agree that using compressed air guns to flash paint can use alot of compressed air. Fans and blower systems use less energy. On the other hand, they are more expensive to buy and install, and retrofits can be tricky.
