That is right Eric Clapton wrote this song about Patti Boyd first wife of George Harrison. He was in love with her and when George and her broke up Eric married her.

The opening chords are from the god of rock calling down thunder on our ass to show us at any age he is the best. His music is in every way part of the soundtrack of my life, good, bad, happy or sad. Clapton has walked next to me.
