Overcast skies couldn't stop the historic parade featuring Rolex 24 champions on the streets of Daytona Beach, as they roared from the Ocean Center, over the Seabreeze Bridge and on toward Daytona International Speedway. Drivers of winning Rolex cars over the last 50 years -- and our own Ken Willis -- greeted waiting fans.
Love it! Thank-you.

To celebrate the 50th Anniversary, Speedway launched a worldwide search to find the vintage priceless sports cars that have claimed victory at the Rolex 24 at Daytona, which dates back to the birth of Daytona road racing in 1962. The parade was GREAT and the sports cars were on display for the public to view for FREE at Daytona International Speedway (DIS) on Saturday 1/28 and Sunday 1/29. What a special event to bring the cars together for a once-in-a-lifetime reunion! Thank you DIS !!!

@A7V2 Granted that the DPs aren't factory racers like the 917, Lola T-70 or Toyota IMSA GTP Eagle, but note that the WSC cars were also in the group with the DPs.
If I had to guess, I'd say that it was an issue of vintage rather than comparison of "something" vs "nothing."

GrandAm kept the DPs well away from the GTPs, Porsche 917 etc, because even they can't deny that DP is less than nothing in comparison...
