Members of the San Francisco Bay Area Goldengate chapter of Code Pink Women for Peace made a mock arrest of Professor John Yoo at the Berkeley School of Law on August 17, 2009. The Pink Police put a citizens arrest on Yoo (A Code Pink member wearing a suit and a John Yoo mask). Cynthia Papermaster read the charges against John Yoo for writing unconstitutional legal briefs that were used by the Bush-Cheney regime to justify torture. According to the International Red Cross, children were tortured and over 100 prisoners died in the Bush administration sanctioned torture sessions. Photos from Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq, and reports on extreme measures used at Guantanamo prison in Cuba, blew the cover-up and exposed US use of torture to the world. Yoo was one of several Department of Justice lawyers who produced legal briefs that stated that the President had the authority to use extraordinary methods to get information out of prisoners. Main stream papers reported that Condoleezza Rice led discussions in the White House on which torture methods to employ. The actual goal was to get false information to use to justify war while having no intention of ever using such testimony in a court of law. Code Pink Women for Peace had every intention of putting a real citizens arrest on the real John Yoo. However, he arrived with about twenty policemen in escort as the crowd shouted War Criminal and Fire John Yoo!
The ICC is illegitimate. We [American's] didn't elect them, vote for them, or ratify them. Internationalist in America and around the world can take a hike.

The ICC is illegitimate as well is the United Nations. We didn't vote for them, elect them, they don't represent America.
