The Shenmue II version of Hang-On was much harder than the real arcade version. I think the original Shenmue version was closer to this. Great game anyway.

Yep - the good old days and their charmy games: OutRun, Super Hang On, Chase HQ, Rolling Thunder, Boxer King, Golfing Greats, Gold Medalist, Zaxxon, R-Type, Power Drift, Karate Champ...

It's pretty amazing that you did that, it must have taken a few takes, once I completed it I never tried again, but surely you were not commentating whilst playing? you were way too calm, sure you can be calm for the bulk of it, but the last stage things get so edgy especially if you have been there 60 times and you know what is coming next....crash

@zouzkleta That's pretty cool, wish I had found it, that 20 seconds could have saved me a day's worth of hours

@Rnt911 Absolutely man. Sega was incredible, and I'm about this biggest Fanboi there can be. Having said that, now that Suzuki Yu has "retired" and Sammy owns them now, they are a shadow of their former self. But good heavens did they push arcade technology forward. I will always love Sega, and it's amazing how ignorant the general gaming public is to their greatness. I do what I can to take care of that, one gamer at a time. :)

It's sad to see what happened to Sega nowdays.
I was always in pure awe on how powerfull Sega's arcade boards where compared to home game systems. Even when the Genesis was released in 1989with it's Motorola 68000 c.p.u., it still couldn't faithfully reproduce Sega's arcade boards(system 16) of 1985. Sega was the champion of arcade technology during the entire arcade era with the most sophisticated technology and the most innovative games. I realized that quickly even thou I was only 8 years old. Sega will always be number 1 in my mind.

You think this is hard? Really?
Try playing this game as a 6 year old kid trying to move a multi-hundred-pound plastic motorcycle-type-thing with a an arcade screen on the front of it - even though you're body mass is about one-tenth of the weight of the entire contraption.
