Electromagnetism is all around us in world in which we live.
We rely on electromagnetic waves to heat our food, carry cell phone calls, and even bring music to the radios in our cars. NASA uses this energy to study vegetation on Earth, monitor solar eruptions on the Sun and detect elements on another planet.
Here's a short video to illustrate the basics.

Somewhere within the discussion of infrared light the soundtrack and visuals diverge. The visuals show use of infrared and plants and satellite tracking of deforestation and the soundtrack discusses extraterrestrial applications of infrared. It would be great if someone fixes it!

Very valuable information, a little long but worth the watch. Get a smile at the half-way mark watching a chem-trail laid down before your eyes (in the background). Note: the 25 minute mark info re: emp waves is useful to know.
