Cindy, Alison and I took the bus down to Tokyo on Saturday to meet Matt Harding of "Dancing" video fame (see below) at Yoyogi Park and to dance with him in his next video. 30+ other people showed up as well. He was in Tokyo for only a few days before he continued on to South Korea to film the next clip of his new video. NHK, Japan's public broadcaster, was also there filming. Matt appeared on the 11:00pm news during the 'human' segment of the show, where they asked him about his travels and the people he has inspired.

  • WOT! DAMN! How did I not even find out about this? I am at least a year behind on every fad out there. Hazards of living here too long.

  • The only reason I knew about it was because I signed up to receive email updates from his website. However, he did make an appearance on NHK that night.

  • Indeed he is. This time his video is about people, hence inviting everyone to dance with him. He's uploading the new video in June.

  • If you were in Japan, you should have got GEORGIA COFFEE! It's the absolute best most addicting coffee in the world and they don't sell it in America for some reason! >:(

  • Why would you go to Japan and eat Mexican food... -_-

  • S'alright, I thought back and remembered I was in the States with family at the time anyways.

    (*^_^*)

  • My favorite part of this video was that WAY COOL coffee machine :)

  • I haven't decided what I liked best about this random video. Either you dancing with matt harding or the random coffee maker.

  • Matt seems so nice ^^

  • yah, definitely NOT a Brazilian song. =|

  • INFO ABOUT THE COFFEE MACHINE MUSIC:

"Moliendo Café" is a song by Venezuelan composer Hugo Blanco. It was composed in 1958, when Blanco was 18 years old.

The story goes that Blanco's uncle, Jose Manzo Perroni, helped him compose it. In later years, Perroni claimed that he created the melody and sued his nephew.

The first recording of "Moliendo Café" was made by Mario Suárez. At present, the song has more than 800 versions in many languages. In Japan, the song's title was "Coffe Rumba".
