iPhone 2G was what they called the first gen after the 3G launched because people can't stand to call something that doesn't match something else.

The newer generation iPhones turn off more slowly because they send usage data to Apple before shutting down.

you know that if you want to make a serious test, the devices have to have the same apps and the same songs so you can test the real speed. the iphone 4 is never (!!!) as slow in starting up...
