World Surfing Reserves

World Surfing Reserves enshrine and protect the world's greatest surf spots: the most sacred, cherished, environmentally rich and culturally significant surfing areas. The program proactively designates and preserves outstanding waves, surf zones and their surrounding environments, around the world.

In this short clip, pro surfers Rob Machado and Hans Hagen, as well as surfer leader Fernando Aguerre, rally support to protect coastal areas as World Surfing Reserves. As Rob Machado says, "it's about time."
