The posting of the video does fit your definition of propaganda, note the embarassed silence of the board. Were not these the people who replaced you and your friends?

It is amazing how someone can get words and make them fit their opinion. The video of someone who is asking for help is simply a video report of a resident comment as was done many, many times before, but were they propaganda also????(everybody has an opinion)

The election board said that the current council won the election, so be it. I have returned as an Overland resident now and I have an opinion just like you.

The seminary or 2500 Ashby was bought when you were on the council is that correct? And yes the current council could dump the seminary, as to Overlands ability to pay for trash, well, drive around and look at the empty busineses in Page Industrial or anywhere for that matter.

2500 Ashby was being purchased (by the Dody administration) before I was in office. The current council in August 2007 was presented with a motion to put on the ballot the choice to let the residents vote on if 2500 Ashby should be sold. IT WAS TURNED DOWN BY CERTAIN COUILMEN, this is the fourth or fifth time they refused to let the people vote for an issue. It is fact, it is on record and it is not a rumor.

Before you comment on cetain issues, you should do your homework.

Well, times have changed and like most cities Overland can no longer pay for trash pick up. People will have to learn to adjust.

Dody's dream of making the seminary the new city hall was a foolish mistake, but then in my opinion Dody was a bad mayor. But the council will have to shoulder some of the blame in the purchase of the seminary.

Asking for help is not propaganda, someone always wants something for free. Your post of this video is the propaganda.

Overland CAN afford to pay part of the trash bill, that is fact. Am I blaming the current council for purchasing 2500 ashby, NO. But, I do hold them responsible for what can be done with it. As far as propaganda the dictionary says:

1: the spreading of ideas, information, or rumor for the purpose of helping or injuring an institution, a cause, or a person

This video does not do any of this.

The truth is truth no matter what you call it.

First of all the City of Overland has paid for the residents trash bill for over 30 years. During the Dody administration that was taken away (paying for 2500 ashby road without the vote of the people).

If you call this propaganda, you have a major problem. When someone who needs help and ask for it, it is not propaganda. Sometimes people like yourself can't handle the truth.

Obvious set up. When did it become the citys resposiblity to pay for someones trash. I don't make alot of money and I pay for my trash. I don't get Soc. Security, Meals on Wheels, or Medicade. She certainly found her way to the podium with her white stick, and as a smoker I can detect the smokers rasp in her voice. What did you hope to acomplish with this propaganda Richard?
