This is a quick demonstration of MMT clay rapidly sinking oil in 5 seconds. This mineral sinks 1 ton of crude for every 1.2 tons of finely powdered mineral added. Already amply researched, and proven non-toxic. 70,000,000 tons are available open pit..and that's just what is showing, uncertain quantities lie beneath the visible outcrops. This material can sink a 1 ton quantity of crude oil off the surface of the Gulf for around $28 in material costs, not inclusive of shipping or application costs. That's about $4.75 a barrel. Immediate availability, and easy application make this a perfect solution for either sinking the crude oil while it is still afloat in the Gulf, or after it has 'hit the beach' for a more rapid bioremediation of the damage. The mineral provides a conduit for bioremediation from microbes existing in natural sea water that have a dramatically enhanced interaction with the oil because of the addition of the MMT clay...again there is a long list of existing research. This is a very large mine source. This recognizable mineral is the so called 'source of life' clay, and is the active ingredient in women's facial mud packs. (It combines with the organic toxins and oil in the skin, just as it combines with any other oil, including crude oil.) It is used in many cosmetics and medicines. Health advocates ingest it daily. It is used as a base for toothpaste. It makes the crude oil rapidly biodegradable, and will render it harmless within weeks not decades. This material, not 'hair booms' or hay, is the answer to the impending misery on the Gulf Coast. Rattle some cages, and just maybe Obama or someone in authority will step up to the plate. Good luck to all y'all down there.
