Hi
Let me share this with all viewers. My girlfriend remain always upset with me that i cant cook. Yesterday, she was out and i decided to make chole. I started surfing to check out few good recipes. I copied exactly the way this two ladies made chole. You wont believe but it turned out to be so good that my Girlfriend kissed me and asked from which restaurant you bought it. I am not at all a good cook, Infact i am just 2 min instant noodle maker. Chole were awesome.

@ShowMeTheCurry turmeric or saffron???
I can't eat whole seeds. Is there a way to make this with ground cumin?
APolaris 7 months ago
@APolaris : You can used fresh ground cumin powder instead.
On a side note - I totally understand about the whole cumin seeds - I could not handle them till about 5-6 years ago!

@ShowMeTheCurry It's not that, I just can't medically eat any seeds.
How much powder should be used?
APolaris 7 months ago
@APolaris : : Half a teaspoon should be good else it may become very over-powering.

i believe black cumin is the wrong herb to be named or used here.
black cumin is most commonly term as kalonji or nigella sativa - habbatus sauda in the middle eastern and muslim markets in europe and most asian supermarkets.
the cumins you are using are just darker in colors because its a different variety.
its just cumin - from what i believe. . some even told me i can use fennel seeds?
MDIS 1 year ago
@MDIS : It is a darker color cumin and has a more earthy flavor. You can use regular cumin as well. Fennel seeds look similar but have a totally different flavor and aroma.
