I found this video after watching the Tim Pawlenty interview on the Daily Show of June 10th, 2010. On the contrary to what you had to say about how bland Pawlenty is, I found him very compelling in his recent interview. Maybe he's improved his public presentation since your video was posted. In the video clips you showed he seemed very decent and classy, and *genuine* for a politician, despite his apparent reluctance to publicly advocate for himself.

Thank you for this video - I learned a lot about Pawlenty. He didn't make any mistakes -seems to have a healthy self-deprecating sense of humor - seems to be humble and most importantly, knows his place. I didn't feel like sticking my finger down my throat even once.

During his first year as governor, Pawlenty balanced a deficit of $4.3 billion without raising taxes, primarily by reducing the rate of funding increases for state services, including funding for transportation, social services, and welfare.
Umm... ok.
Oh... and:
"State finance officials say Minnesota will have a budget surplus that should top $2 billion over the next two-year budget cycle."
