This video celebrates the bicentennial (1810--2010) of the Cry of Dolores (Grito de Dolores), when Miguel Hidalgo called for Mexico's independence from Spain and Mexico began its long struggle for independence.

  • An alternate video, with sound, will be uploaded soon. The soundtrack will be a soft guitar only, with no narration. We don't want students to listen for answers but to look for them, by studying and interpreting the details in pictures, maps, and timelines.
