Actually, that's funny because if I remember correctly the '09 Malibu gets best in class fuel economy. Try 22/33MPG with the 4cyl/6speed auto. Same numbers for the other GM midsizers with the same powertrain; Pontiac G6, Saturn Aura. You can't even get a 4cyl/6 speed manumatic in the competition. Honda Accord is actually classified as a large car, bigger than the Malibu. Malibu has arguably the best styling as well and is much more comfortable than the Accord and Camry.

Its just opinion Imports or American. I think American cars are great and same with Imports but the new Malibu looks way better then the Accord or Camry sorry lol

I have driven this car in the 4 cyl version. It drives and handles very well, was able to sit in the back seat without trouble, I'm 6 ft
Price advantage over the Accord and Camray quieter ride. GM has a winner thanks to sensible use of a European design

look at accords today, i have a 1997 Accord Ex V6 fully loaded and its worth $7000 CDN. I saw a '03 malibu for $5300. that just proves Honda is way better than GM. face it, american cars are shit.
