Kawamori, who is the creator of the original Macross, designed the VF-1 Valkyrie based on the F-14 tomcat.

What a noob. Tools to close the landing gear? I had the takatoku version when I was 8 and easily transformed it. Your a freakin idiot!

Well I started with the toynami versions masterpiece 1-5.. Just because it was robotech .. But Yamatos are really the best I just started my collection with the VF-0s !! Man that is truly a work of art!! Nice video!! Good info

RWalters6986: I have the Jetfire (Transformers) version and I don't know if you've tried it or not but mine can transform also into the "Guardian" mode with just the arms deployed and the legs flipped forward with the wings folded out (as seen in the drxxavier clip). Sadly, I lost a few parts from mine as I don't have the gun cannon or the clip-on parts that came with mine. The version you have is pretty cool looking too.

Yikes that's an old macross chunky monkey re-release. You really need to drop anything labeled robotech and get a yamato macross 1/60 vf-1a cannon fodder, same valk color and model but miles more detailed and accurate.

... Thats a macross chunky monkey
Love robotech, awesome review.

The robotech toys are fantastic..I didn't mention this yet, but i found another flea market deal the other weekend haha...Jetfire for $5 bucks!! Just the figure, but still that's a deal, plus he has one small broken piece of plastic on him...i'll probably do a quick review on him...later, ryan
