  • I hear some Magic Sam in this.

  • Yeah, thats for sure man

  • "I hear some Magic Sam in this." And of course this is before Magic Sam. Like a ton of other records of about this time, this sounds influenced by J. L. Hooker's "Boogie Chillen." Ross was an interesting guy, could play a 1910s style deep blues ("Going To The River"), or "Polly Put The Kettle On," or a "Tommy Dorsey Boogie."

  • damn right man.....thanks for visiting n supporting my site

  • extremely rare... yes true.....

that record is so scarce that the word extreme seems too light.....

I've seen other videos you have... is that your sun box you have there or is there many boxes?

they all seem to be good and clean.

I mostly collect Specialty , king, nashboro, peacock, okehs but those early suns... pre elvis are realy hard to come by....

if the day ever comes you want to move these records.... My wallet is ready.

  • yeah you're right man, and yes, i'm storing my 78's in cases/boxes like the one shown in vid. Glad you enjoyed my vids, thanks for visiting and supporting my site

  • Very cool record! But PLEASE dont play these on that crosley. The cartridge and needle on

these damage records!Try this test, take an old junk 45 and play a short 2 sec. segment over and over about 10 times. Then listen to the groove damage.I've got one of these things too,and there fun to play old 45s on,But you dont ever want to play anything valueable on them, they will KILL your records!3.I've ruined a few records on crappy players, and yours are WAY to special to wreck on a crosley!

  • i'm back for a FIX cause only the Doctor can make me HIGH

  • This is good stuff.

  • Sun records is a cathedral of music

  • thanks for this. Love this tune and it's hard to find even on comps. Boogie Disease - I may get better but I'll never get well.

    Me too, Dr Ross.

  • I used to have a box like that one that I kept my favorite 78s in, when I was collecting them in the 1970s. I'd forgotten about it till I saw this one. These have a handle on the top so you can carry the box around like a small suitcase. And when you're invited to a record party, you can tote your fave discs to it.

  • one of the rarest and best SUN records, the doctor make me feel alright with his musical injection !

  • I worked with Doc.He wrote a song about. It's called "General Motors Blues" He was a very humble man.Loved and missed by many. Thanks for the post.

  • Damn-Sun records? AWESOME!

  • makes your teeth rattle!

  • The Doctor is In I need a FIX. just listen to the echo...
