  • So we created the first know steel, jus another hint to us, that our people are not primitive.

  • @solidfox13 very true!

  • This is very good to know. Now, if we African decendents could produce such technological marvels back then, lets continue the good work and make our ancestors proud. For far too long, we've only been known to be good singers and dancers. Okay. That's fine. But now we need to become known as great scientists, thinkers and inventors. Stay in school, people. Don't hurt your fellow man. Be humble. And keep your head to the sky. Space is the next frontier. We can do it.

  • @vidform so true!

  • i remember this! they had this in the time magazine over 30 years ago. I was really impressed especially since it was discovered by accident since Schmidt was just suppose to be finding out the Haya people's oral tradition. Makes you wonder if there are more secrets the continent holds. Also, ancient steel as been around for a while. the importance haya steel is that they developed the first high-heat furnace(thus the first "modern" steel) which wasnt duplicated until 19 centuries later.

  • @LOOKATMERAWRRRRRR wow 30 years ago....thats so cool. yeah there is so much from our people that is still hidden BUT will come to light in the end.
