Please please please, watch this in 480 or however high quality you can get.
I used Final cut to make this, it's the first time I've used it to make a video so far and it was an extremely tedious process but I'm actually somewhat happy with the result.

Even though in many ways I shouldn't, I feel like I have limited time with Hershey. I'm not selling him and he's young so I should have many more happy, healthy years with him. My life just seems to be moving so quickly. I graduated from high school on Sunday and at the end of August, I will be starting the next stage of my life; college. This means leaving what I know, what I'm comfortable with, and what I love most behind. As much as I am excited to learn new things and meet new people, I have a hard time not dreading the change. I know it can be a tough transition for everyone and there's nothing extraordinary or extra hard about this on me.

I am going to try to make the most out of this summer. I don't want to look back and wish I had done things differently, though I undoubtedly will no matter what.

I plan to do a lot of what I love to do most with my horse which is simply spend time relaxing. We aren't going to go to any shows, we aren't going to ride every day or even every other day. I just want to enjoy myself and help him grow (he's becoming a maaaan xP) in any way possible.

Sometimes I'll find myself just sitting with Hersh, or watching him and just thinking that I could spend my entire life just sitting there. Just basking in the silence that I love as well as wondering how I possibly got so lucky. Hearing nothing but the horses breathing, their tails swishing. I love the feeling of connectedness to nature, to horses, to MY horse. Recently, I've felt even more 'in tune' with Hershey than ever. (I guess that makes sense since the longer you spend with someone, the more you get to know them, etc) This takes me back to the title of this video (which is a random proverb I came across in my endless internet wandering.) I think it really pertains with how I have been feeling lately, how I've wanted to spend my time. Why bother with making noises, forming words, and speaking when you have the opportunity to feel a connection with something without the use of words? God, how cliche can someone get... Oh well.

So this is, I suppose, a preview, an intro to my summer, the interlude between my childhood and the beginning of my [closer to] adult life. And, of course, at the end, we must part ways, if only temporarily.

Please enjoy!
Feel free to rate and leave a comment. You don't know how much I appreciate all of the kind words I've received on here.

Also, feel free to notice how happy, healthy, and shiny Hershey looks ;) I've been somewhat obsessed recently. It's just comforting to KNOW he's content with his life. (Which coupled with the fact that he comes to the gate to greet me now, makes me all smiley and giddy)

If anyone asks me these things, i will simply not respond. It gets a little tedious, sorry guys!
