Same Old Man on a Maico at a different MX track, Grinding Stone MX track in Ft McDowell, Arizona. This was my first ride of any kind in a year. This 1974 1/2 GP Maico 440 is the first production "long travel" MX motorcycle that changed motocross history. It goes well at Grindingstone - a nice smooth track that flows well and doesn't have peaked jumps to smash the down pipe. Recorded with Vholder HD. Old school MX - this is fun!

  • Great video and sound! Transported me back in time!

  • Meanest looking MX bike ever made

  • Surprised at the low end grunt it's got.

  • Sweet!

I'm an old school fart too.

I always wanted a Maico but settled for YZ's.

Maybe I'll find a nice one since I'm getting into AHRMA.

Super Hunky has his for sale and it's a sweet looking bike but, I need the eagle to land big time to get that one.

btw-Post some more video as you get it. Tony in NC

  • My dad has the same year 250 model sitting in storage, one of these days I'm going to restore that bad boy
