This is the first taste test of a Bhut Jolokia chili pepper performed by my dad, my brother and I fresh from the bush. These peppers are damn hot but also have great flavor. Well wort the pain that creeps up on you. I would not recommend eating one of these if you are not a pepper lover. These have been known to kill!

For those who are screaming "NOT BHUT JOLOKIA!" Well, I bought the seed on Ebay as Bhut Jolokia and I received a package labeled Bhut Jolokia. I understand that this particular pepper in the picture/video looks nothing like a Jolokia pepper. Though my other peppers on my other plants from the same seed do depict Jolokia more so. Unfortunately I'm not a botanist and cannot prove or disprove this...

One thing I can say is that I have been eating peppers all my life and do know a thing or two about them. These taste nothing like habenaros and are way hotter. I think thwy may be a hybrid of Bhut Jolokia but I'm not sure of that either. The next seed I buy will be from a seed bank. I obviously cannot trust Ebay sellers.

  • @AgentSomethingCool WOW!! You are mis-informed. There is nothing unhealthy about eating chili peppers unless you have an allergy to them. Most hot pepper connoisseurs like myself enjoy the taste and the heat. Knowledge is power, next time do some research on the subject before you make silly nonsense comments.

  • These are NOT Bhut Jolokia/Ghost Peppers. You were sold seeds of a Red Sativa Pepper or a Scotch Bonnet. I grow Ghost Pepper, and these are not them.

  • hey guys i have a friend at school ready to give me 100$ to eat 1/2 of one. can it kill or hospitalize me?

  • 3:32 THAT IS WHAT SHE SAID GOOD SIR!

  • That would be a great name for a boat: The Angry Beaver.

  • I hate to agree with some of the other post but I also don't think these are Ghost Peppers. Many people are selling seeds on the internet that aren't Ghost Peppers. I get my seeds from the Chile Pepper Institute at the New Mexico State University.

  • i ate a whole one of these (including the seeds) at school the other day. i was sick about 20 times :P

  • We have candidates for the Darwin Awards here.
