Haruhiist-News - 2nd season news! (Please read description)

IT'S NOT CANCELLED! Please don't misunderstand it.

This is about the rumor, that the 2nd season of the anime "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" is cancelled.

EDIT: Well, it seems that the plot isn't official, but it is totally obvious, due to various reasons.

EDIT: Ok, changed the title, cause some guys got the title wrong. It's NOT cancelled.

Yeah, I've been incredibly lazy the past time, so I have never gotten to make any update... Anyway yet, the new episode 8, Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody, which is pivotal to the plot of "The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya," has been out for quite a while now. Since the rerun blends with the new episodes, going chronologically, we'll have to wait till June 18th for the next new episode.

no kidding! even tho i saw it in the english order (crappy) i keep getting info like 2nd season canceled, mid april, july 15, some time in may, redoing season 1... just come out with the second season already!!!

A rerun of the first season began in Japan in April. But the TV stations airing it have written, that it will be 28 episodes. Additionally, the rerun seems to run in the chronological order, which could be indicator for the second season beginning at the end of the rerun. Also, the preview at the end of the first episode of the rerun showed a picture of, what seemed to be a live-action Haruhi in the Kouyouen uniform, which further indicates a second season based on the 4. novel.

Leaked info in the Japan to U. S. media central stated that "The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya" (Haruhi season 2) will most likely come in May of this year (2009). I know how excited everybody is so I advise you who read this to: read the light novel. This gives a main idea and a more accurate complexion of the main plot. I have to warn you of spoilers, as you may know, the season will be modeled on this plot.

you guys have to admit its not fair for Masterpiece-anime like Haruhi or Lucky Star to have so VERY few episodes. It's just unfair. Look at stuff like One Piece, Sailor Moon, Pokemon, these titles are just average quality ( even tho' i like pokemon) but they get like a couple of hundreds of episodes. and Haruhi only 14 ??? wheres the justice. well it's probably true, if Haruhi S. had like 100 eps then the quality would go down. But they could make it something like 51 eps. Like FMA which is good
