I slipped on wet grass last September and broke my ankle in three places. At the time, I was unemployed and uninsured and in a few moments I was tens of thousands of dollars in debt. I did what anyone would do in my situation, I asked for help. America needs health care reform now, no one should go broke because they slip on wet grass.

Ah yes, and before you leave a nasty comment about my slackerishness here is a little note. I did have a great job in TV and I was well on my way to having my dream fulfilled, but I lost that job (and my benefits) during a WGA strike and then the economy tanked. So, before you assume that I'm a loser remember that wonderful little adage about ASSumptions.

I borrowed the song 'Light At The End Of The Tunnel' from The Bloodsugars a really great band from my hometown of Brooklyn, NY. Please buy their album I Can't Go On, I'll Go On on iTunes.

  • Yeah Thanks to Tegan & Sara for tweeting this video. If it weren't for they're concern for some of the many things going on around the world, I would've probably never seen this video. But it's sad and I am currrently one of these unfortunate people.

  • @ThePizza15 exacly and also great username!!!!!! LOL:)

  • wow really wet grass thats pretty sad dude

  • I feel your pain to a much greater extent. I had a spinal cord injury playing ice hockey on a day off and was fired the day after while I was still in the ICU. I am literally millions of dollars in debt even with insurance for part of that. I was a firefighter/EMT before my injury and am now on disability after a 2 yr fight. I may be psycho but I WOULD actually rather work and make my own money. There's no miracle fix for our country... and for the lazy SSI slob comments I only get $400/mo

  • c nul!

  • i just slipped on wet grass today . i think i may have rolled it. but when i fell i could feel my pinkie toe being cought in my shoe and i could feel this like ripping in my foot. any way good movie and hope ur foot/ankle is getting better.

  • My hubby blew out his eardrum, and at the time he had no insurance. All the ER costs and such were enormous, but we got on a payment plan. We paid it back working very low income jobs, it was difficult, but we took responsibility and worked hard to fix the situation.

I don't want government controlled health care.

  • loves it! but just sad you cares about it because it happens to you, but it's still good, no matters when you started to fight , the important is the fight and your video is gorgeous
