LOU REED Sheffield City Hall 1974 - Vicious. Another show from my attic archives (35mm slides photographed by myself some years ago). It took me quite some time to carefully restore/enhance them, and I uploaded them here for your entertainment, learning how to use Sony Vegas in the process! From a technical point of view one or two of these are quite remarkable. I was using a 200mm lens which was adequate for a distance of anything up to say row 12 at a concert. For the head and shoulder shots, however, I attached a 2x convertor, making a 400mm lens, but much slower exposure wise. Hand held. Exposure 1/30 or 1/60th of a second. I know you just want to watch the video, but that has to be an achievement - a head and shoulders shot from row 12 in the stalls! Got some fairly decent close ups of Lou. The music ( I try to get as near date-wise to the original show as I can) is from Lou Reed May 14, 1974 Konserthuset Stockholm, Sweden. Enjoy! Look out for Lou 1973 coming soooon!

  • These are great pictures. He's such a legend. Great live version too. I don't know if anyone else feels the same way but I think this is such a great morning song, to set me up for the rest of the day.

  • Another one, from a year later! Fantastic, I'll have to go & check your channel now! Thanks for posting this!

  • great PICS !

    are they on FLICKR ?

  • great stills!! must be incredible remembering that experience

  • Great pictureshow! Such a shame I haven't seen him during this period as I was born then. Such classic poses in these photos. The Stockholm bootleg is terrific recording. I own that one for many, many years now. Thanx for posting these wonderful captures. You did a great job. I look forward to the 1973 pics.
