  • lucifer just means day star in latin as you have pointed out. so by the time they translated it into english lucifer had already been well established as the name of "the devil" so therefore instead of translating it to day star or morning star they just kept the name lucifer in order to confirm their long held belief that it is referring to the satan or the devil. however, the new century version corrects this and puts who the author was actually referring to which is the babylonian king.

  • Wait a minute, god is all knowing, powerful, and all seeing, he would have KNOWN satan was going to do this, yet he still made satan and god could have destroyed him the instant he found out about lucifers plans, and yet he let him live. When he was in the garden, lucifer deceived adam and eve and god was all knowing and all seeing, so he could have prevented satan. Satan brought the light ( of science ) and atheism was invented, yet satan is believed to still be alive. What god lets satan roam

  • @JewlTonz "I BELIEVE" That after the creation of man, ALL things created was given in submission to man, and there is where the problem occurred. "I also Believe" that the Devil's rebellion was against the aforemention and not God per-say. No one would have a better knowledge of God than the Devil himself and know that it would be impossible for a create to be The Creator. This topic would take more than a couple text to explian. Love the topic!

  • Question: are you suggesting that Lucifer fell and became Satan BEFORE the creation of Man? When God finished all of His creating, He said, "It is good." It seems to me that at the end of the week, there was a good creation. I have not yet read the Book of Enoch or Jubilees, but from Genesis, Ezekiel, etc. we don't know WHEN Lucifer fell. Perhaps he got jealous AFTER the creation of Man and then attempted to exalt himself, and hence his fall...

  • What about Genesis 6? And Nimrod began to be? How did he begin to be? Do you utilize the Jewish historical text in your research?

  • The fruit is representative of knowledge that we should not eat of, or let enter into our consciousness! I don't know, this guy says that Lucifer was akin to the likes of Micheal and Gabriel, yet when the war in Heaven raged and God sent Micheal to expel Satan even Micheal would not utter a harsh word against Satan. Micheal said to him, " GOD rebukes thee." Not that Micheal did! Almost as if Micheal was afraid of the repercussions that speaking against satan might bring upon himself!

  • the whole adam an eve and forbiding fruit thing seems to be a proventible situation, i cant help but believe it was purposely done with gods blessing...what fruit really carries the ability to smartin some one up anyways....i think it was all to play a larger role metaphorically in mans mental development....this all smells of being all nothing more then a pyramid scheme no punn intended...
