@lmswentzeljr If a kid wants to work at age 12 why should the federal government stop them? Libertarians believe in the non-aggression principle so if a kid is being forced to work, libertarians have a beef because of the the use of FORCE. Libertarians want all economic matters to be voluntary. Being forced to work is not voluntary. Hence libertarians are against it.

@lmswentzeljr If montana wants it's own EPA, it can do that. What Libertarians have beef with is taxing people more and more to insitute all these federal level programs. It's like the feds just come in and say, "we know whats best for you, so give us your money so we can pay for it, whether you want this service or not". Libertarians don't agree with this. Could you please offer an agruement other than: "The consitution/libertarianism are old, they don't work cause it's the future!"

@lmswentzeljr And remember I'm saying follow the constitution. IF we did that the federal governments role would be to make sure states don't violate their citizens rights (from the bill of rights). So obviosly, states couldn't enact racist laws, or laws that discriminate against certain religions. People would be more free and would be able to hold their state and local governments accountable. This is not possible at a federal level due to the size of the federal goverment.

@lmswentzeljr So libertarianisms non-aggression principle is invalid because someone who identified as a "tea partier" denied global warming and evolution? You do know they just had a UN meeting to discuss global cooling right? Yes, temperatures are changing, the issue is did man cause it and how do you know that they did? And I dont know man some people just don't want to look at science. I personally believe in the theory of evolution and support seperation of church and state.

@sk8sk8sk8666 Well for certain coporations I dont,, and why do so many Tea Party people deny global warming, deny evolution,and deny seperation of church and state. I would love to live in a libertarian society but the problem is that it is 2011, were out of the caveman era when that type of era worked.

@lmswentzeljr yeah in libertarian world as you say private property rights would apply. If a corporation pollutes MY property I can sue them. Heres a suggestion, don't buy from a corporation if you don't like what they do.

@sk8sk8sk8666 You cant apply the entire constution to today. The Document was written in the 18th century it is the 21st century now, there are parts that apply today, but there are some parts that are not. I wish we could live in this Libertarian dream world, where we did not have to have an EPA to make sure we had clean air and clean water, but Corporations dont have people best intrests in mind. Also on child labor laws Libertarians dont want those but we need them.
