Here is part two of my Tascam DP-02/CF porta-studio video tutorial, in this video I will describe the steps required to record, I hope this Video helps you.

I have learned that the DP-02 has been discontinued and replaced with the DP-03 :( Well I will still be here to provide assistance and hopefully in the future provide help on other Tascam products.

  • @poopoo427 just run ur mixer out to one of the to inputs of the dp-02 and record like normal but if you have 2 guitars on the mixer that ur recording and one is to quiet or messed up u have to do it all over again so keep that in mind Ita probably worth re time to record 2 at a time unless ur trying to record a hole band bract ice at once

You can also load a drum track onto the unit itself, first you need to format your FAT partition in the flash card. Then tun on USB mode, then load your track to the FAT partition, under the WAVE directory. Don't rename anything as it will cease to function. You can only load WAV formats onto the flash card.

  • @PlainOldCalvin Please reply on only one of my videos next time... No it CANNOT be used as an interface only as a hard disc recorder...You can then, once the tracks are recorded, import them into pro tools or any other audio editing program, you may either export the Master or each track individually (See my other videos).

If you have any more questions let me know.

  • can this be used as an interface to record diectly to a prgram like Cool Edit Pro or Pro Tools, etc.
