@macee17 Senna always pushed to limit. That's why the poor-modified steering column broke, that's why Williams ruined F1, and that's what opened Michael Cheatmaster gates to win all his championships.

Williams cars from that era looked great. They were very elegant (I believe this might be the last elegant, sleek, pure design in F1), that nose is beautiful when seen from onboard.

@squirlybmx ohh and by the way I'm not a fan of Newey and his "cheater" cars, I especially hate this Red Bulls he designs. Still prefer McLaren and Ferrari.

@squirlybmx amazing car? without active suspension it was extremely difficult to drive. Senna don't finished any of his 1994 races, because the car was so shit, had bad grip in the corners and was far less reliable than the Benetton. After he died, the team tried to upgrade the car as much as possible and by the middle/end season Damon Hill won races and had a chance to win the championship. But in the early season the FW16 was really unstable. That's a shit car in my opinion.

@macee17 Williams made an amazing car actually, the FIA just didn't want them destroying again and deemed the suspension illegal. It was the same factor with the blown diffuser this year but Newey learned from his mistakes with this car and already had a design created if the car needed to be run without the blown diffuser.

@ most of the comments,pure and simply it was shoddy workmanship,welding a steering column to extend it at Senna's request poorly instead of making a new one,granted the car itself was rubbish for the beginning of the 94 season but even now F1 cars are like that and they get better during the season
