Satyajit Ray: The Coward

"The Coward" (Kapurush): Directed and adapted by Satyajit Ray from a story by Premendra Mitra.

Amitabha Roy (played by Soumitra Chatterjee), a scriptwriter from Kolkata, car breaks down and is given a place to sleep from Bimal Gupta (played by Haradhan Bannerjee), a wealthy tea plantation manager. When he arrives at Bimal's home he finds out that his ex-lover, Karuna (played by Madhabi Mukherjee), is married to Bimal.

In this scene Amitabha remembers how he met Karuna and confesses to her how he is right for her now.
