@bingofioul Super Hornet is larger but probably not so noticeable unless side by side with standard 18 but also has distinctive larger sharp rectangular inlets that function better and have smaller radar profile. Excellent plane, amazing the high G manoeuvres pulled in this display without thrust vectoring - amazing!

Bingofioul, just look at the intakes on the front of the jet. If they're semi circular, it's an F/A 18 Hornet, if they're rectangular, then it's a Super Hornet.

@NIGHTEHAWK Russia has a pretty good air force but this jet is way better. the world said that the F-14 tomcat is to be the best fighter ever built. well in 2006 it was retired so that America can replace it with the FA-18 super hornet. (F-14 is the most wanted jet in each country)

@moneybubby12 Not really, Russians would beat this aircraft. They might Fighters, Bombers, Ground Attack aircraft etc. We wrap it all into 1 aircraft, so you don't get the best of either of them, you get a mix of them all. all our
"Fighter" aircraft are really Multi role aircraft. Russian aircraft are dedicated role aircraft. But Super hornet is still a bad ass jet :P

@fmoa what new radar are the f-15C using?. Recently the f-16c are getting some upgrades and the f-18 super hornet is pretty much new. The only new things I see you talking are new missiles

people still think F15,16 n 18 are still old jets that uses same old radar n weapon systems,come on people,are you that dumb,those 3 yank jets av been upgraded every decade to meet future threats,same as the air to air missiles,the AIM-9 av been upgrade to AIM-9X to av off-boresight capability,the long range AIM-120 av been upgrade to the AIM-120D for improve range n excellent beyond visual range tracking,so this jets are still up-to-date,but saying they junk now is just bullshit.
