Ferromex GP38-2#9298,CEFX Ex UP#400 and 408 still in it's CNW paint leds this slow moving train though a small town called Tapla,Tx,they were doing some much needed track work to where the train is moving at a slow pase.
The Texas Pacifico operates 382mi of track,it starts at san angelo jct where it meets BNSF and FWWR via trackage,then heads south though san angelo and onto presidio,tx to meet up with Ferromex at the texas broader.
Sorry about the sun lite in this video,it just i took this in the morning when the sun was out and i been trying to get this train on video for a while.

  • @Rhino011 the only other video i got on here is along US Hwy 67 buy a small town called Rowena,Tx and that train had 6 locomotives on it.

  • @juvmol there still out there,and one of these days,i'm wanting to go back out to video them again,they got the tracks redone from SA jct to the us hwy 277 rr crossing out side of san angelo.

  • That locomotive is the only survivor of the FXE units with the original FNM Number and what happened to that locomotive i havent seen it on Mexico and other videos of that lococmotive

    thanks,i couldn't rembemer if the state still own it,and i was down buy the tracks recently and they been work on it big time.

  • Actually TXDOT owns the track, Grupo Mexico leases the track from the state. They leased the tracks in hopes of someday shipping intermodal containers and other freight from Mexicos West Coast straight through to Dallas and various points in between. Its going to cost a lot more money than the stimulus funds that are being used now to get up to a decent speed to make it worth their while.
