I'm European, so I'm not familiar with this show. Why does the host keep interrupting his guest? (his guest being the president of the United States, no less)
A host should be an enabler of conversations with and between guests, not someone who silences dissent. Surely Obama knew the format of this show when he agreed to be on it.

This was recorded back in 2008, in the run up to the elections. O'Reilly has a conservative view, as does his audience, it's only logic to see why he attempts to display Obama in a negative light.
Obama agreed to be in the show because it's better than to turn down the offer, if he turned down the offer O'Reilly would rant about how Obama was too scared to face his questions or some such. Fox is a very popular news station in america, ignoring it would have cost a lot of votes.
