@BigBobsh2o It basically comes down to if the waste dump will negatively effect the property of the companies' neighbors. If it does, the company can't do it. Now if the dump was there first and people built around it, they can't ask for the company to stop.

One thing I am wary about with The Libertairan party platform is how they would deal with environmental issues. For example if a company owns a plot of land in a city but the people in that city oppose a waste dump for safety concerns, what would be the Libertarian position on that?
Technically they own the land, but at the same time you have the majority of the people who have real safety and environmental concerns with it.
