Possibly European made in the late 1940's. Scroll headstock, fluted sides, arch top and look at the size of the sound hole; you could keep your pet MeerKats inside! Any information as to the maker would be most gratefully received. Could even be a 'one off' designed and made by a classical stringed instruent Luthier, having a go at his first guitar.
I accidently found a picture of an early 1900's italian harp guitar with the scroll slotted headstock design that is almost identical. The maker's name was Carmelo Pinocchiaro, but possibly forty years earlier???

Wow one of the most beautiful guitars i have ever seen!!! and it sounds just as beautiful! I usually just stick to old guitars that have been forgotten and i will buy them and make them playable again ! It really gives a sense of feeling when you play an old guitar, i recently got an old parlor guitar for $5 that has a crack down the back and is in back shape but it plays amazingly! I'm planning on buy an old archtop and old man has downtown for 100 dollars and i cant wait to play it! thanks!
