Good Lord what a movie. Just stunned me beyond belief! Very powerful in showing what democracy and freedom of speech really means.

i ´v e just watched this movie. it was a great one, but maybe it could have been a bit less romantic... i mean he was too naive and wooden in the beggining.
the defending speech scene was tremendously great

The corruption of that era, as evidenced in this film, was nothing compared to nowadays. This film was just the tip of the iceberg. Just imagine how Mr. Smith would react if he went to Congress in 2010.
