    the gears and chain were bought at a regular bike shop.

  • @gicks87 can this work with metal instead of wood? i have some molds that are pretty big they weight about 50 to 60 lbs with out the plaster.. or do you think that just by using thicker wood will work?

  • @chahueto Metal should be fine, but you might want to use some bearings for the rotating parts. Also make sure that the machine is balanced, it will make the rotating a lot easier.

    Look up Stelter Creative here and on the web. They have a heavy duty yellow metal one (very expensive to buy). See how it's built from their pictures. This will give you an idea how to apply bearings.
