@klbsl8r How is this learning? They are preforming a circus of behaviors they would never do in the wild. The only leson there is that it's ok to abuse nature

The animals only perform if they want to… If the whales or dolphins didn't enjoy it, there would be no show. SeaWorld offers a rare opportunity to learn about these amazing creatures and protect the species. The animals are fed weather they perform or not, and they are never punished. Positive Reinforcement is used to train the animals. I cant imagine not having the opportunity to be up close to these amazing creatures.

@WoahLikeWoahLike No I can't prove that they hate it, hence why I said 'they probably hate being humiliated'. I'll admit, the show is brilliant, it's just the way that they treat their animals with little respect which annoys me most, the small holding tanks the killer whales have to live in, the dolphin tank is of adequate size however, there's too many dolphins in the tank. The new manta aqaurium tanks are too small, the wild arctic area as a whole is very depressing
Get your facts right. Every wild-born orca in seaworld was captured in "whale drives" either in Iceland, Norway, or the BC area. No captive orcas surviving today are from "rescues". Seaworld has never tried to release one of their orcas into the wild, they are absolutley NOT breeding to "save the species", they are doing it to insure they can make money in the future.

Even if they are originally from the wild, if released they would die either from the stress of removal or from bacterial diseases that their immune system cannot handle in the ocean. The orcas born there on the other hand, know nothing else. That is their home, and they've made pods with the other whales they've come to know. I'm not for captivity, but just putting it out there that it's a death sentence to release them. I hate how people are always putting negative comments on Sea World!
