i recommend having a release word, my gsd mix sam just turned 4 months today and hes had most of his obedience down for quite some time now, hes the first dog i trained and yes your dog will be able to hold the stay longer if she knows theres a release! good luck ill try to post an update vid soon of sams obedience training
