Building the right finale is the most important aspect of bringing the purpose of the movie home. The rule of thumb is if it doesn't bring a tear to the eye the first time watching it, then it is simply not good enough.
My favorite part of this scene is the crescendo to the first chorus, with the focus on the closed doors at the wedding reception, and the swell to the doors bursting open and the newly married couple lauching themselves into the crowd of friends and family. Those are once in a lifetime moments, and it's a priveldge to be able to try to re-capture the emotion.
