I loved it! Squeals and oinks indeed! The Temple of the Holy Schweinhunt! Things won't change until enough formerly middle class people are as desperate as the traditional poor and are forced to riot in the streets for food. And the cops have to choose between doing their "job" and shooting them, or turning their guns around. That's how the system changed in 1932.

The problem is slavery and people worship it. Businesses should be owned by the people who work there with no investors or any other masters and corporations should be banned. This could be the first free country if people are willing to stop being a slave. I find it funny that people came to America to escape tyranny only to cause their own.

It's not capitalism, mate. Everything you say is right. All I'm trying to show you is how this situation came about. The problem I have with OWS is that there are many who don't understand what they're doing. If you get a chance, watch a video by Adam Kokesh where he interviews protestors in Washington. It's embarrassing to watch, especially the female Harvard student who, when Adam breaks it down for her (like I did for you) replied, 'I don't think I want to talk any more'. Embarrassing.

Why don't people just ditch the banks? It is beyond me how people can protest something that they are completely dependent on. Wouldn't the most effective way to handle this be to stop using banks? Or if you must use one to cash a check, keep it minimally funded and go local only..Elections can no longer save us. Pull out of your so-called investments.

Agreed, but I am not fooled by the party line. BOTH parties have sold their souls for money, using us all. Mentioning parties in this fight is a major distraction. We need to hold them all accountable. Study the relationship with corporations / banks of the Globalist Politicians...they come from both parties. You are participating in the lie, by targeting one party. WE must stop that madness now. Stand for the constitution because in simple language it's for the people to protect the people.

Most Americans dont relize that WE ARE NOT POOR!!! WE ARE STILL the richest country of the world!!!, but the government gives our money away so other countrys wont hurt us,WE have to MAN UP!!! and CUT OFF any outgoing money untill we get ourselves out of this mess!!!
Capitalism isn't the problem, mate. It's the Federal Reserve. It's the monopoly on power. I feel for the protesters, I just wonder if they realize the insanity of asking the government to change. It's like asking the guy who cut your left hand off to cut the left one off too, because you didn't do it right the first time. Those that run the government made sure early on to monopolize their power by bribing them. They aren't capitalist. Wrong 'ism'. Try fascism or socialism.

@anafael1 No. The problem is the growing gap between rich and poor. And the problem is greedy rich people who *continue* perpetuating a monstrous lie: that giving tax cuts to millionaires somehow helps the poor & middle class. Sorry, the people won't be buying that BULLSHIT anymore. The results of the disastrous Bush & Obama tax cuts are quite clear. Look how many wonderful JOBS were created as a result of those glorious tax cuts! Newsflash: Tax cuts don't grow the economy, they grow the debt.

Capitalism isn't the problem. Government and central planning is the problem. Please get it right. What's the alternative to capitalism? It's not an option in the USA!

@cooperbry Saying government is the problem is like saying guns are a problem. The machine itself isn't inherently evil. You seem to think I advocate getting rid of capitalism; I don't. FYI: there are good socialists and there are bad socialists. Likewise, there are good capitalists and there are bad capitalists. Failure to acknowledge that is a failure to acknowledge reality.

Everything you say is true. But what do you think protesting like this is actually going to accomplish. i fear it will just be used to bring in martial law, violate people's rights, or at best create the illusion of change with what will end up being nothing more than a communist system. Hate to be cynical, but that's what I think right now.

@thetruthergirls I feel cynical about some aspects of it too, but I also feel what's happening is really a beautiful thing. The fact that the people can actually DO this, without being met by bayonets (pepper spray notwithstanding), is somewhat reassuring isn't it? And the fact that people are getting involved gives me hope too. It tells me we haven't *completely* degenerated into a nation full of apathetic slack-jawed zombies just yet.
