A short video of Steven Hale from Coki Beach Dive Club spearing a Pacific Lion fish on Coki's west reef.

We were getting ready to leave for the day when Steven asked us to come check out a lion fish they found on the west reef. So I went along to get some video. Another local diver seen in the video, brought his camera to get a few pictures as well. We saw a nice Barracuda on the way in to the beach, along with some pretty staghorn coral. The pacific lion fish is not native to the Caribbean and causes a lot of damage to the marine environment here. So DPNR asks that if you find one, to kill it and bring it in for examination. Not only is Steven a scuba instructor at Coki Beach Dive Club but he also works with the Fish and Wildlife department here in the VI.
