Genz Benz Shuttle 12.0, Geddy Lee Fender Jazz. I had not played this very demanding song in a few years. I used to practice this all the time. Once I start playing this again, I may post another version. Also, I generally practiced the Exit Stage Left version simply because this one is tuned up in key.. I had never, honestly, until this take, played along with the studio version. I am not sure I am pleased with this, but I can play this song. It's an amazing song that means a lot to me. I have always loved this wonderful song. This is my fav band, and this song is one of my favs of theirs also. From A Farewell to Kings. Who said, "Later, I grew older," and when did he/she say that?

  • I can see by the Geddy Lee signature Jazz Bass you must be a fan of RUSH. I'm also a huge fan of them too. I found out not long ago that Geddy Lee uses Rotosound 66 Swing Bass strings (45-105) and there really good sounding strings. You should try them too.

  • hi, the 66 strings are what I was using here.. I have switched to Elixirs since.. they are much better.

  • hey great cover theres nothing wrong with it, this is one of my favorite songs of all time.

  • I will leave this on here, as I never play the song.. I used to play it daily, 10+ years ago.. what I like about this video is that I had never played this version (the studio) and I had not played the actual song in at least 10 years.. other than playing the main riff at bands' houses.

  • Great song! great cover! Well done...

  • I am going to remove this.. it does not sound up to my playing ability.. I had not played this in two or more years.

  • Geddy uses tenths at 0:36 through 0:44. GET IT RIGHT! But otherwise great performance.

  • I can do better.. but thanks.
