Calgary leads the nation in Transit Oriented Development policy initiatives, not to mention having the highest LRT ridership in North America. Our population is expected to double to 2 million people by the year 2070, so it is critical that we create the policy and framework today which enable transit oriented communities. Therefore, a number of station area plans are being created for key strategic areas in Calgary.
Calgary City Council has selected 6 LRT stations in Calgary to undergo Station Area Planning (SAP) work.
These six stations include:
Chinook
Lions Park
Banff Trail
Brentwood
Anderson
Canyon Meadows
Bridgeland is retarded you have to walk so far to the LRT !

I like the pedestrian friendly district of Bridgeland, but the actual Bridgeland LRT station is not the best examples for transit oriented deisgn. If anything, Sunnyside and Lions Park are better integrated with the urban fabric.
